SIUE dropped its first road test of the Ohio Valley Conference season falling at Southeast Missouri 82-73. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for SIUE. The Cougars never led in the contest and trailed by as many as 10 on several occasions. Despite shooting just 35 percent from the field, SIUE trailed just 37-32 at halftime thanks to the Cougars draining all 11 of their free throw attempts in the half. SIUE's fortunes changed in the second period. The Cougars connected on 12-26 shots (46 percent) from the field, but knocked down just 13-23 second-half free throws.
