City of Belleville Electrical Commission met Sept. 26.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

1. CALL TO ORDER / OPENING REMARKS 

Chairman Tom Bell called the meeting to order at 1:10 p.m.

2. ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS AND STAFF 

•  PRESENT - Chairman Tom Bell, Bryan Jarvis, Ryan Diekemper & Rob Roehrig 

• ABSENT - Joe Harnist & Josh Hader

• STAFF MEMBERS - City of Belleville Electrical Inspector Ed Escobedo

Assistant City Attorney Lloyd Cueto

Deputy Fire Chief Jesse Garnica

• GUESTS - None

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 

Motion to approve the minutes for August 22, 2023

4. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - None

5. New Business 

• Ordinance 151.40 

Lloyd Cueto discussed the definition of code 151.40 as to "designated person", license holder, who owns the City of Belleville license and can a contractor have more than one license holder. Lloyd will rewrite 151.40 and present it at the October 24, 2023 meeting.

• St Clair County Electrical Code/City of Belleville Electrical Code 

Discussion was held about the City of Belleville adopting the St Clair County Electrical Code. The St Clair County Electrical Code is the amended version of the 2014 Nation Electrical Code. Bryan Jarvis volunteered to review the St Clair County Code and offer changes that the commission should consider adopting. Lloyd Cueto will present the draft of the City of Belleville Electrical Code.
