State Representative Amy Elik is hosting a Holiday Food Drive, urging the community to come together and support those in need during this festive season. The food drive will run from now until December 20th, providing an opportunity for individuals to make a difference in someone's life.

Elik is calling on residents to donate non-perishable food items, which can be dropped off at her district office located at 192 Alton Square Mall Dr., Suite C in Alton. The office will be open for donations between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

All the non-perishable food items collected during the drive will be donated to the Crisis Food Center in Alton. This local organization plays a vital role in providing food assistance to individuals and families facing food insecurity.

In a statement regarding the food drive, Representative Elik expressed her gratitude for the support of the community, saying, "If you can, please consider donating to my Holiday Food Drive, going on now through December 20th."
