State Representative Kevin Schmidt will host a free Shred Event this Saturday, June 8, offering a confidential shredding service for personal documents. The event will take place at Freeburg Park, located at 300 E. Hill St. in Freeburg from 9-11 am.

"Protecting your personal information is crucial, and this free Shred Event is a step towards enhancing our community’s security," Rep. Schmidt said. "Whether it’s old financial statements, medical records, or other confidential documents, this event provides a safe and convenient way to dispose of them."

The event aims to provide local residents with an opportunity to securely and responsibly dispose of sensitive documents. There is a five-box maximum for personal documents for confidential shredding.
