A recent plan from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) proposes delaying the full enforcement of REAL ID for another two years. However, the TSA also warns of potential delays at airport security checkpoints for individuals who do not possess a compliant ID.

The REAL ID Act, initially passed in 2005, sets standards for the issuance of sources of identification, such as driver's licenses. The act aims to enhance security by establishing minimum standards for state-issued IDs.

"Could the REAL ID deadline change? What we know after recent TSA proposal," reported MSN.com.

The proposed delay comes amid ongoing concerns about readiness and compliance among states and citizens. As it stands, many people have yet to obtain a REAL ID-compliant form of identification.
