Rep. Amy Elik recently visited Riverbend Head Start in Alton, accompanied by Senator Erica Harriss. During the visit, Rep. Elik expressed her appreciation for the organization's efforts in supporting children and families in Madison County.
"Riverbend Head Start & Family Services is such a great organization to have in the Metro East! They help provide Madison County children living in poverty or challenged with special circumstances with an early childhood education and extend supportive services to their family, including expectant mothers," said Rep. Elik.
She further added, "Today Senator Erica Harriss and I visited their Alton facility to see all the great stuff they do. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers for all they do for our community!"
The visit highlighted the ongoing commitment of local leaders to support organizations that focus on early childhood education and family services.
