A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was submitted to the City of Jerseyville regarding unpaid parking violations on October 28, 2024. The request was made by Metro East Sun, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
In the request, we sought records under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, specifically asking for a list of all currently unpaid parking violations. The details requested included the name of the offender, their address, the amount due, violation date, and total due.
