House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Chairman Mike Bost has announced the senior staff for the 119th Congress. The team will oversee various subcommittees and roles within the committee.
The full committee's leadership includes Jon Clark as Staff Director, Steve Gonzalez as Deputy Staff Director and Director of Member Services, Katy Flynn as General Counsel, Kathleen McCarthy as Communications Director, Noah Barger as Senior Advisor, and Julia Trent as Chief Clerk and Deputy Director of Member Services.
For the subcommittees, James Whittaker will serve as Staff Director for the Subcommittee on Health. Jenny Tang is appointed to lead the Subcommittee on Disability Assistance & Memorial Affairs. Chase Bergerson will direct the Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity. Olivia Naughton takes charge of the Subcommittee on Oversight & Investigations. Sam Kaardal will head the Subcommittee on Technology Modernization.
These appointments are part of efforts to support veterans, their families, and survivors through legislative work in Congress.
