Rep. Mike Bost, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Illinois' 12th district, shared several updates and reflections through his social media platform on February 5th and 6th, 2025. His messages covered topics ranging from honoring veterans to community engagement initiatives and historical commemorations.

On February 5th, Rep. Bost highlighted Illinois' longstanding tradition of honoring veterans, emphasizing the role of the Woman’s Relief Corps (WRC) in this legacy. He noted that "Illinois has a proud history of honoring our veterans, and the Woman’s Relief Corps has been a part of that legacy for over a century." The WRC is recognized as the oldest national women’s patriotic organization and auxiliary to the Grand Army of the Republic.

Later that day, Rep. Bost announced an initiative by his staff to host mobile office hours across Southern Illinois throughout February. This effort aims to provide constituents with direct access to casework experts regarding various federal services. He stated, "My staff will be hosting mobile office hours across Southern Illinois this February so you can speak with our casework experts face-to-face with comfort and convenience."

On February 6th, Rep. Bost commemorated President Ronald Reagan's birthday by acknowledging his contributions to American leadership and values. He remarked on Reagan's influence by saying "Today we celebrate the 114th birthday of President Ronald Reagan, a leader who championed American strength, conservative values, and freedom for all." Under Reagan's leadership, he noted it became "morning again" in America.
