State Senator Erica Harriss expressed her appreciation to all participants in the annual Valentines for Seniors Card Drive. The initiative aims to bring joy to seniors in the community.
“Each year, we continue to brighten the faces of our senior community through this initiative, and I’m thankful to those who have taken the time to make cards for us to deliver to facilities across the 56th District,” stated Senator Harriss.
The event saw contributions from students, scout groups, churches, and other community members. As a result, hundreds of handmade Valentine’s cards were distributed to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care centers. This gesture served as a reminder to seniors that they are valued and appreciated.
