State Representative Kevin Schmidt of Millstadt has donated his May pay raise to the Hope Christian Church’s Food Pantry in Freeburg, Illinois. Since assuming office, Rep. Schmidt has consistently donated his monthly pay raises to various local food pantries and non-profit organizations within his district, following his vote against a legislative pay raise.
“Hope Christian Church does an excellent job giving back to the community, and I’m happy to contribute to their food pantry,” stated Rep. Schmidt. “Too many times, politicians make empty promises. I’m staying true to my commitment and look forward to continuing this monthly donation.”
