Representative Mike Bost, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Illinois' 12th District since 2015, recently shared insights on various initiatives through his social media posts. The tweets cover a range of topics including support for military families, Title IX recognition, and participation in a Congressional Motorcycle Caucus event.

On June 7, 2025, Bost tweeted about his meeting with Blue Star Families to discuss how to better support America’s military families. He highlighted priorities such as enhancing the Transition Assistance Program and ensuring that housing and childcare benefits are effective for those who have served.

In another post on June 9, 2025, he announced that President Trump had declared June as “Title IX Month,” marking the 53rd anniversary of Title IX becoming law. Bost emphasized the importance of returning to the original intent of Title IX to protect equal opportunities for women in education and sports.

Later on June 9, Bost shared his experience as a member of the Congressional Motorcycle Caucus. He joined several House colleagues and riders from the American Legion on a journey from their headquarters in Washington D.C. to the steps of the U.S. Capitol.

Mike Bost was born in Murphysboro, Illinois in 1960 and has been an active public servant since serving on the Jackson County Board from 1984 to 1988 before moving to state politics. He is also an alumnus of the University of Illinois' Certified Firefighter II Academy.
