This week, Col. John D. Poole completed his final flight as the commander of the 375th Air Mobility Wing at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. Known as a "fini" flight, this tradition celebrates the service and leadership of commanders before they transition to their next roles.

Upon landing, Col. Poole was welcomed with water and champagne by his family, friends, fellow Airmen, and senior leaders from the base. His tenure saw significant contributions to mission-critical operations and readiness initiatives that bolstered global mobility and enhanced the base's status as a key power projection platform.
