State Senator Erica Harriss and State Representative Amy Elik will co-host a free job fair in Alton on Friday, September 5. The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Lewis and Clark Scott Bibb Center, located at 1004 E. 5th Street.
The job fair is open to the public with no admission fee. Attendees are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resumes and dress appropriately for job interviews.
Employers participating in the event include Kraft Heinz, Argosy Casino, Senior Services Plus, Alton Fire Department, Alton Steel, Schnucks, Hirelevel, Challenge Unlimited, Lewis and Clark Community College, Alton Police Department, Alton School District, CALC Institute of Technology and several state agencies such as the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS), Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC), Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), Illinois State Police (ISP), Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES), Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA), Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS) and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO).
