State Representative Kevin Schmidt has announced a series of Mobile Office Hours events in October. The sessions are intended to give residents an opportunity to discuss state legislature and share their views on what they would like to see from legislators in Illinois.
Schmidt, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State House in 2023 to represent the state's 114th House District, replacing previous state representative LaToya Greenwood.
The first event will take place on October 7 at the Mascoutah Municipal Building, located at 3 W. Main Street, Mascoutah, IL 62258. The session will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
A second session is scheduled for October 9 at the Freeburg Municipal Center, at 14 Southgate Center, Freeburg, IL 62243, also from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
On October 21, Schmidt will be available at Smithton Village Hall, located at 101 S. Main Street, Smithton, IL 62285. This event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The final scheduled event is set for October 23 at New Athens Village Hall, located at 905 Spotsylvania Street, New Athens, IL 62264. This session will also run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
"This is a great opportunity to discuss state legislature and what you would like to see from legislators in Illinois," Schmidt said.
