A job fair organized by State Representative Amy Elik and State Senator Erica Harriss took place at the Scott Bibb Center in Alton, attracting hundreds of job seekers. The event featured more than 30 state and local employers who provided information about employment opportunities.
“We had an amazing turnout at our first Job Fair,” said Rep. Elik. “Thank you to all the vendors and staff who helped make this event possible. We hope some of the seekers found their next adventure, and we’re already looking forward to our next Job Fair!”
Elik, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State House in 2021 to represent the state's 111th House District, succeeding Monica Bristow.
