Rep. Mike Bost, U.S. Congressman for Illinois' 12th district, marked National Truck Driver Appreciation Week and reflected on recent meetings and the passing of a former governor in a series of posts on September 14, 2025.

In his first post of the day, Bost highlighted his role in promoting recognition for truck drivers, stating on September 14: "Today kicks off National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, a recognition I pushed for earlier this year in Congress with a resolution honoring the hard work of professional truck drivers. Mike Bost has represented Illinois' 12th congressional district since winning election in 2014 against William L. Enyart. He has subsequently won re-election multiple times: defeating Charles Baricevic in 2016; Raymond Lenzi in 2020; Brendan Kelly in 2018; and Chip Markel most recently in 2022.
