State Representative Amy Elik and other local lawmakers visited the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine during the Give Kids a Smile event, which offered free dental care to children between the ages of 3 and 13.
“It was great to see the great work at SIU School of Dental Medicine firsthand at Give Kids a Smile last week,” said Elik. “This is a day of free dental care for kids age 3-13 and was amazing to see – we are so lucky to have SIU SDM in our region and they do so much for our community.”
Elik, who is a Republican, has served as the representative for Illinois' 111th House District since 2021, succeeding Monica Bristow.
