The City Council for the City of Edwardsville, Illinois will meet Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Edwardsville City Hall, which is located at 118 Hillsboro Ave.
The council will first discuss activity and financial reports, including monthly financial and activity reports from the city clerk, city treasurer, police chief and fire chief. The public works director will then discuss building, electrical and plumbing permits.
During the legislative and executive portion of the meeting, the council will look to approve the 2016 tobacco and liquor licenses for the City of Edwardsville.
Subcommittees will then go over various city issues. The finance committee will read an ordinance approving the assessment, levy and collection of taxes within the corporate limits of the city. The administrative and community service committee will tackle a resolution regarding a sign variance for additional window signage for Redmon Insurance Agency.
After the subcommittees, the council will go over any old business before turning to a few new business initiatives.
