The Information Technology Committee for Madison County, Illinois met recently to discuss purchase requests and give updates on various committee projects.
The committee first approved the regular monthly purchases, as well as the purchase requests of Boss Solutions, VMWare Maintenance and Dell Server.
Next up was a discussion surrounding the current projects the committee oversees. It was noted that there would be a project walk-through for the Data Center Project. For the New World Project, the committee mentioned that the next phase of the project would focus on fire services and emergency management services issues.
Also of note was a mainframe move, a new CMS system, new panic buttons on the VOIP phones and an investigation into a STARRS grant for a regional helicopter downlink.
In attendance at the meeting were Ann Gorman, the committee chair, and board members Steve Brazier, Liz Dalton, Bill Robertson, Michael “Doc” Holliday, Jamie Goggin, Brad Maxwell, Timothy Renick and Tricia Lack.
