Madison County Institutions Committee discusses education, mental health topics.

The County Institutions Committee for Madison County, Illinois, recently convened over issues related to education, veterans’ assistance, mental health and the county's historical museum.

Dr. Daiber from the Education Office reported that 873 homeless students were served in the month of October. J. Roth from the Mental Health Office told the committee that the Youth Mental Health First Aid Training seminar went well.

The Veterans’ Office provided a monthly report, and S. Dietrich from the Historical Museum gave out the budget expenditure analysis for the museum. She also noted that the Court House 100 Year Dining in History event ran smoothly and was a great event.

The County Institutions Committee exists to oversee the museum and liaise with the Regional Superintendent’s Offices, Child Advocacy Center, Veterans’ Assistance Commission and Community Mental Health Board.
