Godfrey Finance Committee authorizes major public works projects in recent meeting.
The Finance Committee for the Village of Godfrey, Illinois, recently met to authorize major public works projects and consider a land application program for the Village Sewer Department.
After public comments and requests, during which the committee discussed a waiver of raffle license bonding for the Riverbend Growth Association, the committee heard from its departments on various financial issues.
The Public Works Department sought to authorize the third payment for the Pierce Lane project as it moves to phase three. It also brought up the Stamper Lane project, which is in phase four. The first payment is due for this project.
The Village Sewer Department asked the committee to consider the Land Application Program and Contract, engineering services for the Warren Levis Lagoon survey and approval of easement for the NE Interceptor sanitary sewer improvement.
Also of note at the meeting were village considerations, which included a review of accounts payable and payroll, as well as consideration of the RBGA Annual Dinner Sponsorship and the Supplement 25 Codification MuniCode.
