The Madison County Planning and Development Committee will evaluate new property petitions at its upcoming meeting.

The Madison County Planning and Development Committee will evaluate new property petitions at its upcoming meeting.

The Planning and Development Committee for Madison County, Illinois, will meet at 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 19 to evaluate resolutions for new properties in the county.

New business will feature a total of five resolutions. This includes a petition from citizen Robert Adair Jr., who would like a variance so that he can construct a new residence 30 feet from his front property line, instead of the standard 50 feet. Another petition, from Richard and Melissa Mark, requests a variance to build a metal accessory building in an R-2 Single Family Residential District.

Old business will include a resolution and recommendation for Jon Metheny’s petition for a special use permit to continue the placement of a double-wing manufactured home on site.

The meeting will be held in the Planning and Development Conference Room in the Madison County Administration Building, which is located at 157 N. Main St., Edwardsville.
