The Madison County Institutions Committee recently convened to hear from its various liaison departments.
The Institutions Committee for Madison County, Illinois, recently met to discuss issues pertaining to education, mental health and child advocacy.
After hearing public comments and approving the minutes from its December meeting, the committee examined reports from the departments with which it works. Education, Veteran’s Assistance, Mental Health, Child Advocacy and the County Historical Museum all gave monthly status reports.
Before adjourning, the committee also approved bills and purchases for December.
The committee exists to oversee the museum while liaising with the Regional Superintendent’s Office, Child Advocacy Center, Veteran’s Assistance Commission and Community Mental Health Board.
Nick Petrillo is the committee chair. Committee members include Mick Madison, Liz Dalton, Lisa Ciampoli, Kristen Novacich, Robert Pollard and Roger Alons.
