The Collinsville Historic Preservation Committee recently gave an update on its Collins House project.

The Collinsville Historic Preservation Commission recently gathered to give project updates on the Collins House and Uptown.

The commission noted that progress had been made on the Collins House. This included the installation of curbing, a first layer of gravel, foundation work, a first floor to basement stairs, the HVAC system and plumbing.

Because of the Uptown update, it was announced that there would be no holiday house tour this year. Other notes included announcements of holiday events, such as the Uptown Christmas tree lighting ceremony and the Festival of Trees.

Present at the meeting were commission members Iseminger, Hines, Metzger, Rayho, Galvin, Stark and Welch, along with Lea Joyce, city representative.
