The Madison County Planning and Development Committee recently met to approve various resolutions and hear reports.
The Planning and Development Committee for Madison County, Illinois, recently met to approve various resolutions and examine the administrator's and planning coordinator’s reports.
Resolutions included an authorization of a grant for yearly funding to the Madison County Soil and Water Conservation District FY2016, which passed, and an authorization for Green Schools Program Funding FY2016 that also passed.
During the administrator’s report, Emily Fultz presented the request for proposals for the Sustainability Program Environmental Grant, answering committee questions about the grant process.
During the planning coordinator’s report, Derek Jackson presented the findings, facts and recommendations for the Zoning Board of Appeals December hearings, along with two additional zoning cases.
The committee exists to oversee the Planning and Development Department while providing liaison between the Zoning Board of Appeals and the County Regional Planning Commission.
Bill Meyer is the chair of the committee. Committee members include Jack Minner, Brenda Maxwell, Kelly Tracy, Robert Pollard and Helen Hawkins.
