The Finance and Government Operations Committee for Madison County, Illinois, met recently to examine specific purchases for the county.

The treasurer announced the resending of purchase of vendors for the printing and mailing of delinquent tax notices, which would cost $7,750. After some committee discussion, the purchase was approved.

The Highway Department needed to renew its auto-desk infrastructure subscription, a task that would cost the county $5,921. The purchase request passed unanimously.

The committee also discussed three immediate emergency appropriations: the 2016 Health Department HIV Grant, the 2016 Child Advocacy Center-IL DCFS Grant and the 2015 IEMA Hazardous Material Emergency Preparedness Grant.
