The Madison County Planning and Development Committee plans to discuss existing and new business items at its next meeting.
The Planning and Development Committee for Madison County, Illinois, will hold its regular meeting at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, to discuss amendments to its zoning ordinance, along with other existing and new resolutions.
After approving the minutes if its previous meeting, the committee will examine the planning coordinator’s report before asking if any citizens wish to make addresses.
The committee will tackle two old business agenda items, one being a resolution authorizing a text amendment to chapter 93 of the Madison County Zoning Ordinance and the other a request by Jon Metheny for a special use permit that would allow the placement of a manufactured home on his property.
The committee then plans to address multiple new business issues. These include a petition from Courtney Warmouth and Edward Niemeier for variances that would allow them have 31 feet of road frontage instead of the mandated 40 feet and a petition from Darrell Luitjohan for a variance to construct an accessory building 20 feet from the property line, instead of 50.
