Collinsville City Council assesses ordinances in meeting

Collinsville City Council convened Monday to address a host of ordinances and resolutions.

The council considered an ordinance that would authorize a modification to the professional services agreement between the city and Hurst-Rosche Engineers Inc. for the water plant relocation project in the amount of $110,000.

It also brought a motion to authorize the purchase of a new 2016 Ford F350 service truck for $30,075 and a motion to award a contract for the purchase of a compact track loader for the Water Lines Department in the amount of $48,529.96.

Other topics of discussion included a resolution authorizing a lease-purchase agreement with the Bank of Edwardsville for the acquisition of a fire truck and an ordinance increasing the 2015 expenditure budgets in the general, motor fuel tax, TIF District 1, Fournie Lane and bond funds.
