Maryville police board gathers to review Annual Treasurer Report

The Village of Maryville Police Pension Board met Tuesday, April 12, to discuss Annual Treasurer Report due on the second Tuesday of May annually, pursuant to 40 ILCS 5/3-141.

The board also discussed new proposed legislation affecting downstate police and fire pension funds SB 3317 and others. In addition, members reviewed the status of upcoming elections and appointments for board members: Tony Manley, active, term expires April 30; Timothy Aldrich, active, term expires April 30; Thomas Kanzler, retired, term expires April 30; Nick Huniak, appointed, term expires May 11. 

Finally, the meeting included a response from retirees regarding the letter on the Healthcare Enhancement for Local Public Safety (HELPS) program.
