Babcock brings considerable background to Illinois election
Mike Babcock, Republican candidate running for House District 111, believes that honest leadership and accountability are paramount to this election cycle as he brings his executive experience to the table.
Babcock serves as Wood River township supervisor and operates a small Edwardsville area business in the finance and insurance sector.
He said he is prepared to positively impact lives in Illinois. With a track record indicating a strong competitive spirit, he excelled at athletics early on. He earned both an associate’s degree in electronics and a bachelor’s in business marketing, from Lewis and Clark Community College and SIU, respectively.
Hoping to reduce government spending and increase public transparency, the candidate has implemented up-to-date technologies to improve communications with taxpayers in his work. An active church member, he has served as youth leader and bible studies instructor for both adults and youth at Edwardsville’s Metro Community Church.
Additionally, Babcock maintains strong civic ties and serves on several boards including community groups, police associations and charity organizations; he hopes to see his home territory thrive once again with stable, lucrative jobs. Committed to working for the citizens of the district, he stands ready to serve his jurisdiction.
