The Granite City Police Committee met Sept. 6 to explain the new cannabis ordinance.

Alderman Elliott called the Police Committee Meeting to order.
Elliott stated that tonight before the City Council is the Cannabis Ordinance, an Ordinance
amending chapter 1.24 of the Granite City Municipal Code, establishing an alternative ticket
program for certain code, establishing an alternative ticket program for certain Ordinance
violations and turned over to Chief Miller to explain the new law.
Chief Miller explained the new law to the council about Cannabis Ordinance.
Motion by Elliott, second by McDowell to approve the Ordinance amending chapter 1.24 of
the Granite City Municipal Code, establishing an alternative ticket program for certain code,
establishing an alternative ticket program for certain Ordinance violations. All Voted Yes.
Motion Carried.
Motion by Elliott, second by McDowell to adjourn the Police Committee Meeting. All Voted
Yes. Motion Carried.
