Highest-paid teacher in Harmony Emge SD 175 raked in $118,715.07 in the 2013-2014 school year
The top 20 highest-paid teachers in Harmony Emge SD 175 each earned more than $82,000 in total compensation in 2014, according to the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
The amount reflects teachers' full adjusted pay - a calculation which includes benefits and all pension contributions by taxpayers for each teacher, and reflects a full year of work instead of the nine months teachers actually worked.
Records show that in 2014, Deborah J. Martin, a teacher at Emge Junior High School at 7401 Westchester Drive, received $118,715.07, the highest full adjusted pay among all teachers in the district.
Included in that amount was $23,309.10 in taxpayer-funded benefits, $9,898.66 in retirement benefits, and $13,410.44 in other benefits.
Overall, the total amount Harmony Emge SD 175 spent on its 20 highest-paid teachers in 2014 was $1,813,474.81.
