Southern Illinois-Edwardsville's Donshel Beck and Nakiah Bell recently received placement on postseason Ohio Valley Conference teams, according to an article on siuecougars.com.
Beck, a junior guard from St. Louis, was voted onto the All-OVC second team. Bell, a redshirt-sophomore guard who also is from St. Louis, made the league's All-Newcomer squad.
Beck finished the regular season ranked seventh in the conference both in points (14.8) and rebounds (7.2) per game.
Bell led the Cougars in total assists during the regular season with 123 and also had team highs with 71 made 3-pointers, 114 free throws made, and 163 free throws attempted. She averaged 10.8 points per game going into the OVC Tournament.
SIUE's season ended with its 61-58 loss to Eastern Kentucky in the tourney semifinals March 3 in Nashville, Tennessee. The Cougars posted a 14-17 overall record this season.
Belmont won the tourney title by beating Eastern Kentucky 91-74 on March 4 in Nashville, according to the league's website.
