Alton Firemen's Pension Fund met February 28.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

President Bolling called the meeting to order and roll was called.

Present; Bolling, Davis, Heininger, Roth, Cowan

Absent;

Minutes: Ms. Roth made a motion, seconded by Mr. Davis, to accept the minutes from the January 24, 2017 meeting. Motion carried by unanimous vote.

Treasurer Report: Ms. Roth presented the Treasurers Report for January 2017. Mr. Heininger made a motion, seconded by Mr. Davis, to accept the report. Motion carried by unanimous vote. 

Investments: Mr. Heininger made a motion, seconded by Ms. Cowan, to transfer funds from the investment accounts to Liberty Bank in the amount sufficient to cover March and April’s pension payments. Motion carried by unanimous vote.

Old Business: After review of all Request for Proposal for Board Attorney Mr. Davis made a motion, seconded by Mr. Heininger to invite the following firms to the March 28, 2017 meeting for interviews. Puchalski Goodloe Marzullo, LLP, Donald Craven, P.C., Collins & Radja P.C. Motion carried by unanimous vote.

Mr. Heininger made a motion, seconded by Mr. Davis, to send Current Board attorney Mr. Dennis Orsey a letter of termination of service. Motion Carried by unanimous vote.

Ms. Roth informed the board that the BS&A training dates have been changes to March 13, 14, and 15.

Bills: Comprehensive Spine Care $200.00

Ms. Cowan made a motion, seconded by Ms. Roth, to pay the bill. Motion carried by unanimous vote.

Application for Membership: None

Application for Benefits: Mr. Heininger made a motion, seconded by Ms. Roth, to accept the Decision and Order for Mr. Casey Mullaney and forward a copy to him and Board Attorney Dennis Orsey, Motion carried by unanimous vote.

New Business: Ms. Roth made a motion, seconded by Mr. Heininger, to pay the membership fee for Board clerk Robert Franke to join Illinois Professional Firefighters Association (IPFA). Motion carried by unanimous vote.

Pension: Mr. Davis made a motion, seconded by Mr. Heininger, that all regular pensions for the month of February be allowed and checks be drawn and issued as of February 28, 2017, subject to the death of any pensioner prior to that date, in such event, his or her check will be held for legal disposition. Motion carried by unanimous vote.

There being no further business to come before the Board at this time the Board adjourned with a unanimous vote.
