City of Granite City Legal & Legislative Committee met March 21.

Alderman Pickerell called the Legal & Legislative Committee Meeting to order.
Pickerell stated that the gentleman from corner market has turned in names, addresses and phone numbers for people that don’t have a problem with them selling liquor at the Corner Market. He has done everything to comply with having a liquor license.
Discussion by Mayor, Council, and Attorney Konzen about the number of liquor licenses allowed in the city and adding one for the Corner Market a license.
Motion by Pickerell, second by Jackstadt to approve a Liquor License for the Corner Market. All Voted Yes. Motion Carried.
Pickerell asked for another meeting on April the third from 6:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. to discuss the number of Liquor Licenses the city can issue.
Motion by Pickerell, second by Davis to not allow anymore Liquor Licenses for the city at this time. All Voted Yes. Motion Carried.
Motion by Pickerell, second by Jackstadt to adjourn the Legal & Legislative Committee Meeting. All Voted Yes. Motion Carried.
