Marquette Catholic High School has had something special in their baseball team all season, and they proved it once again by batting in a regional championship.
The Marquette Catholic Explorers came into the regional baseball finals with high hopes, but fell behind early in a hotly contested championship round.
Konnor Morrissey had struggled all day, going 0-3 at the plate, until he belted a clutch RBI single that lifted his team past the Gillespie Miners in a 6-5 rally.
The Explorers finished 22-10 on the season, and notched their first championship since 2012.
