Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville men's soccer announced its schedule for the 2017 season — its first in the Mid-American Conference.
Mario Sanchez returns as head coach and has high hopes for his team.
To start the season the Cougars have a couple exhibition games. For the first matchup, the Cougars will play at Creighton on Aug. 12 in Omaha, Nebraska, followed by a home game against Northwestern on Aug. 18.
The Cougars will kick off their season with home games against Michigan State (Aug. 25) and Syracuse (Aug. 27).
SIUE will celebrate homecoming with its first conference game at home against Bowling Green on Oct. 7.
