City of Edwardsville Finance Committee met July 27.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

Present: Aldermen Craig Louer Chairman, Janet Stack, Jack Burns and Dennis W. McCracken City Clerk/Collector.

Also Present: Hal Patton, Mayor, Walter Williams, Economic Community Development Director, SJ Morrison and Robert Pfeiffer Director of Parks & Recreation

Quorum present, Chairman ouer called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. No public comments made.

Motion by Stack, seconded by Burns, to approve Finance Committee minutes from May 30, 2017. Motion Carried with Louer, Stack and Burns votingaye.

Information: Group Health Insurance Fund Report will be announced at the Wednesday, July 05, 2017 Council meeting.

New Business:

Mayor Patton announced the results of search for Ward 1 Alderman replacement. Six (6) applicants applied for the position.

Mayor Patton discussed the Public Safety Facilities landscaping draft and exterior furnishing.

Mayor Patton excused himself from meeting.

SJ Morrison, Aldermen Ward 4 excused himself from meeting.

Claims in the amount of $831,042.03 will be available for review. Forwarded to Council for approval on Wednesday, July 05, 2017.

Motion by Stack, Seconded by Burns, to approve and forward to Council the Resolution Updating the City of Edwardsville Tourism Application. Motion Carried with Louer, Stack and Burns voting aye.

Motion by Burns, seconded by Stack, to approve and forward to Administrative Committee Services the Resolution Approving the Special Parks Project Fund. Motion Carried with Louer, Stack and Burns votingaye.

Walter Williams, Economic Community Development Director provided a brief update on a possible interested party exploring the site in the 157 Center, Edwardsville property (formerly known as Social GastroPub), as a possible Taproom. Mr. Williams discussed the upcoming Intergovernmental Agreement with Madison County in regards to the Plum Street property. Mr. Williams also announced the Edwardsville Market Place discussion regarding the shopping center improvements status. The update was also provided on the Montclaire shopping center improvements.

Finance Committee will meet on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. in the Governor Edwards Conference Room.
