The calls in Mitchell included 39 fires - 15 structure fires, eight vehicle fires and 16 other fires.
In all, the department saw $505,000 in fire loss - or about $12,949 per fire.
The department also received 44 false calls.
The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury and one civilian fire-related death.
