The calls in Godfrey included 50 fires - 27 structure fires, nine vehicle fires and 14 other fires.
In all, the department saw $641,700 in fire loss - or about $12,834 per fire.
The department also received 104 false calls, including two malicious calls and 102 other false calls.
The Godfrey Paid Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 18 active employees and 14 retired or inactive employees, was $457,036 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $9,141 for every fire in 2016.
