Highland Fire Department responded to 61 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the Metro East Sun.
The calls in Highland included 17 fires - eight structure fires, three vehicle fires and five other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $20,550 in fire loss - or about $1,209 per fire.
The department also received 44 false calls, including two malicious calls and 42 other false calls.
