Belleville Public Library Board met July 13.
Here is the agenda provided by the Board:
I. Call to order
Carol Keeley, President, called to order the regular meeting at 6:30pm on July 13, 2017 and reviewed evacuation and safety procedures with all present.
II. Board Members Present
The following Board Members were present: Carol Keeley, Andy Gaa, Mary Karban, Rhonda Ross, Helen Thompson, Victoria Weygandt, and Catherine Kreher
Excused Board Members were: Mary Smith
III. Public Comments
None
IV. Approval of the Minutes
Victoria Weygandt moved to accept the minutes from the June 8, 2017 Board meeting with corrections. The motion was seconded by Catherine Kreher and the motion carried.
V. Personnel/Legal
Due to the lack of a current budget at the state level, the administrative assistant position will not be able to be filled at this time, as well as, the one other full-time and one part-time position.
VI. Policy
None were reviewed.
VII. Property, Equipment, and Services
1. Mural Project- Leander has contacted the two artists recommended by Mary Smith and Rhonda Ross to discuss the project. He is currently trying to establish a time for the artists to come in and discuss the details of the project.
VIII. Finance
Rhonda Ross read the claims to the group and made a motion to pay the bills. Victoria Weygandt seconded the motion. Regular claims were in the amount of $31,813.94, prepaid claims were $19,727.75, and petty cash claims were $216.70. Members were polled and the motion carried.

Leander reported that a small tree was removed at the West Branch by the city without consulting him. The city reported that the tree had a disease that was not able to be corrected.
XIV. Adjournment
A motion was made by Rhonda Ross to adjourn the meeting and a second was made by Andy Gaa. The motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 6:46pm.
