City of Belleville Electrical Commission met June 26.

Here is the minutes provided by the Commission:

Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairman airy Giaenzer.

Roll Call:

The minutes of the last meeting in May were reviewed and approved.

Inspectors Report:

•In the north of Asiay 2017 there were 125 total inspections. Of the 125 inspections, 50 were housing inspections and 75 were other inspections.

•Eric Katterbraker of West End Services was ticketed for providing electrical services and labor without a ficense or permit at 17 Woodside Drive.

•Ray Page with Current Electric wasticketed for using a standard 4"90 degree elbow on a Service entrance instead of a 36" wide radius elbow. A discussion on this issue was led by the commission. Jason Kien to look into the requirements by Afferen.

Old Business:

•The commission fed a discussion on changes to the Belleville Electical Ordinance in relation to 2005 NEC updates. The discussion was tabled until next meeting and after a county meeting scheduled for tomorrow night on the same subjecž.

•Sieve Houska ofiaurus Electric Voice and Data appeared before the commission to present his information to apply for his Bellewitte Electrical ilicense under a rew Cornpany called sodern Continunication of Fentor, ViO. Mr. Houska was late getting his information in to get on our agenda. The commission accepted his application for review.

New Applications For Licenses:

•Reinhold Electric - Kristopher Schnittgens. Provided proper documentation to be approved by the commission for an interview. O

•PayneCrest Electric-Christopher Garofalo. Provided proper documentation to be approved by the commission for an interview.

•Lane Valente ind. – James Lynch. Did not provide proper documentation for an interview.

•J.F.Eec{sic - Les Seigon. Provided proper documentation to be approved by the commission for an interview.

•T4 lectric - Scot: Deissez. Provided proper documentation to be approved by the Commission for an interview.

•T4 Electric - Scoilets gaz. Provided proper documentation to be approved by the confinission for an interview.

•Modern Communications- Steve Houska. Provided proper documentation to be approved by the commission for an interview

New Business:

DeMond Signs, Thomas DeMond and Sue Defford, appeared before the commission to discuss their electrical license. After a lengthy discussion the commission determined that it was a clerical error on the city's part that a sign license was issued to DeMond Signs instead of an Electrical license. The commission voted unanimously to reinstate their electrical license. Janet to reissue a full electrical license to DeMond Signs.

The commission led a discussion on the scope of work that a sign contractor may completed. Several scenarios were discussed, Ken is going to draft up a set of guidelines for a sign contractors and present it to the commission at its July ineeting.

The next meeting will be held on July 24, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.
