Handshake09

Members of the Edwardsville/ Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce can learn to maximize their membership by attending a Q & A event from 8 to 9 a.m. on Nov. 8 at the chamber, 1 North Research Drive on the Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville campus.

Members will be shown how to navigate the chamber’s website and build effective business relationships, as well as learn about the chamber's programs and services, according to a press release.

Everyone will also get the opportunity to introduce their businesses to fellow members.

“Chambers of commerce honor and respect capitalism and well-informed private sector job creators as a central and foundational element of regional and national prosperity,” the chamber's website says. “Chambers of commerce actively facilitate collaboration and open discussion between business and public officials through education, business advocacy and leadership.”

The chamber will also host its 2017 Halloween Parade at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 31.
