O’Fallon residents can now submit a complaint or report safety or maintenance issues to city officials via message on their mobile phones through a new and approved mobile application, O’Fallon On Demand, the city said in a recent release.
The city launched the app to allow residents to report any issues directly to the city by uploading a photo or video and marking the location on a map so yhe issue can be followed up and tracked down by the appropriate authorities, the release said.
“Do you ever see something in O’Fallon, like tall weeds, down tree limbs, or illegally parked cars, and want to report it, but never know who to tell or email?” Mayor Herb Roach asked in the release. “O’Fallon On Demand is your solution! Report it at www.ofallon.org/ofallon-on-demand or download and use the app! Being proactive will help us keep the community clean, well maintained, and beautiful!”
O’Fallon On Demand can be downloaded on any mobile device and can also be found on the city’s website where residents can click the “submit requests” button for assistance, the release said.
The app is meant for residents to report such issues as an abandoned vehicle, water quality problems, a public or animal nuisance. For emergencies, residents should call 9-1-1.
Not only can residents report an issue via the O’Fallon On Demand app, but they can also sign up for city park and recreation activities, pay utility bills or reserve a book at the library, the release said.
