City of Edwardsville Finance Committee met October 10.
Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:
Present: Aldermen Craig Louer Chairman, Jack Burns and Dennis W. McCracken City Clerk/Collector.
Also Present: Tim Harr, City Administrator, Walter Williams, Economic Community Development Director, Jay Keeven, Director of Police, Devin Gray, IT, Tayla Myles, Cougar Village Drive, Edwardsville.
Quorum present, Aldermen Louer called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. No public comments were made.
Motion by Burns, seconded by Louer, to approve Finance Committee minutes from September 26, 2017. Motion Carried with Louer, and Burns votingaye.
Information: Group Health insurance Fund Report will be announced at the Tuesday, October 17, 2017 Council meeting.
Old Business:
Tourism Fund Request and application will request proof of sales tax filing or filing application. Name of charity and proof of proceeds/donation to charity discussion.
New Business:
Claims in the amount of $1,458,404.99 (Regular) $27,926.17 (Library) for a total of $1,486,331.16 will be available for review. Forwarded to Council for approval on Tuesday, October 17, 2017.
Aldermen Farrar joined meeting,
Motion by Burns, seconded by Farrar, to approve and forward to Council an Agreement with Nelson Systems incorporated for Purchase and installation of Liberty Interview Room Recording System for the new Public Safety Building, 333 S. Main Street, for the total amount of $22,391.60. Motion Carried with Louer, Burns and Farrar votingaye.
Motion by Burns, seconded by Farrar, to approve and forward to Council an Agreement with Nelson Systems Inc. for the Purchase and installation of the Eventide Nexlog 740 Recording System, for the new Public Safety Building, 333 S. Main Street, for the total amount of S10,882.50. Motion Carried with Louer, Burns and Farrar votingaye.
Motion by Burns, and seconded by Farrar, to approve and forward to Council a Tourism Fund Request for the "Edwardsville YMCA Halloween Swim Meet" not to exceed $5,000.00 for fiscal year 2017-2018, Motion Carried with Louer, Burns and Farrar voting aye.
Walter Williams, Director of Economic Community Development Director update had no Comments.
Dennis McCracken City Clerk/Collector announced the Joint Review Board meeting on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 4:30 p.m.
Finance Committee will meet on Wednesday, November 01, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. in the Governor Edwards Conference Room.
