City of Edwardsville Finance Committee met December 12.

Present: Aldermen Craig Louer Chairman, Jack Burns and Dennis W. McCracken City Clerk/Collector. Aldermen Farrar and Rich Hampton, City Treasurer were excused.
Also Present: Tim Harr, City Administrator, Walter Williams, Economic Community Development Director.
Quorum present, Aldermen Louer called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. No public comments made.
Motion by Burns, seconded by Louer, to approve Finance Committee minutes from November 28, 2017. Motion Carried with Louer and Burns voting aye.
Information: Group Health Insurance Fund Report $445,975.02
Old Business:
Motion by Louer, seconded by Burns, to approve and forward to Council second reading of a Ordinance Making An Assessment, Levy and Collection of Taxes Within The Corporate Limits Of The City of Edwardsville, County of Madison, State of Illinois, For The Tax Year of 2017And For The Corporate Expenses for The Fiscal Year Beginning May 01, 2018 And Ending April 30, 2019 in the amount of $10,390,579.00. Motion Carried with Louer and Burns votingaye.
New Business:
Claims in the amount of $2,104,855.79 (Regular) $30,790.62 (Library) $80,856.00 (Municipal
Band Payroll) for a total of $2,216,502.41 will be available for review. Forwarded to Council for approval on Tuesday, December 19, 2017.
Walter Williams, Economic Community Development Director discussed the Edwardsville Marketplace fagade. Mr. Williams discussed an out lot restaurant that is under consideration. He also discussed the filling of current vacancies within the City of Edwardsville. He stated the mural survey that is on the Public Safety Building located at 400 N. Main Street is still ongoing. Mr. Williams announced the closing of Olde Tyme Lounge of Edwardsville Inc. d/b/a Laurie's Place that is currently located at 228 N. Main Street, Edwardsville, IL 62025 effective December 31, 2017.
Finance Committee will meet on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. in the Governor Edwards Conference Room.
