Analysis: Caseyville pays $3.17 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Caseyville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 76.1 percent of the $267,999 the Caseyville Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.17 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Caseyville contributed $203,873 to the fund, which saw a $27,612 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $64,126, or 23.9 percent, in 2016.
