Analysis: Shiloh pays $3 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Shiloh Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 75 percent of the $481,865 the Shiloh Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Metro East Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Shiloh contributed $361,475 to the fund, which saw a $24,563 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $120,390, or 25 percent, in 2016.
